red5 Ant build with Ivy
So you want to set up a red5 server?
Install the Subclipse SVN plugin if you haven’t already.
The update site is: http://http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.2.x
-
Then, using Eclipse:
- Create a new project, import from SVN, URI:
http://svn1.cvsdude.com/osflash/red5/java/server/trunk - Build the new Ant Ivy script using Run Ant Build (Ctrl+Shift+X Q).
- Copy the new
/distsubdirectory to the server of your choice and runred5.shshell script.
There you have it! Okay, simple so far, now it’s your chance to set up a new server application!

Click here for the game I put together using Actionscript 3 and Sandy 3D.![]()
3D in AS3
-
Here’s how I did it with Sandy:
- Install Eclipse 3.3 Europa (includes Web Tools Platform 2.0).
- Install flex sdk 3 beta 1 and the flex ant tasks.
- Subversion or Subclipse Sandy SVN from
http://sandy.googlecode.com/svn/ - Create a new empty project and copy in sandy/sandy/as3/trunk/source/.
-
Configure an ant build.xml to build Examples_3D_engine.mxml using the mxml task.
Questions? Post them here, I’m happy to respond.
Have fun!
