red5 Ant build with Ivy

So you want to set up a red5 server?

Install the Subclipse SVN plugin if you haven’t already.
The update site is: http://http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.2.x

    Then, using Eclipse:

  1. Create a new project, import from SVN, URI: http://svn1.cvsdude.com/osflash/red5/java/server/trunk
  2. Build the new Ant Ivy script using Run Ant Build (Ctrl+Shift+X Q).
  3. Copy the new /dist subdirectory to the server of your choice and run red5.sh shell script.

There you have it! Okay, simple so far, now it’s your chance to set up a new server application!

3D in AS3

Here’s how I did it with Sandy:

    1. Install Eclipse 3.3 Europa (includes Web Tools Platform 2.0).
    2. Install flex sdk 3 beta 1 and the flex ant tasks.
    3. Subversion or Subclipse Sandy SVN from http://sandy.googlecode.com/svn/
    4. Create a new empty project and copy in sandy/sandy/as3/trunk/source/.
    5. Configure an ant build.xml to build Examples_3D_engine.mxml using the mxml task.

Questions? Post them here, I’m happy to respond.
    Have fun! :D
